Yes, jointing sand can help prevent weeds from growing in between pavers or stones. The sand fills the gaps between the pavers, making it difficult for weeds to take root and grow. Additionally, jointing sand can also help to stabilize the pavers and prevent them from shifting, which can further inhibit weed growth. However, it is important to note that while jointing sand can be effective in preventing weeds, it may not completely eliminate them, and regular maintenance may still be necessary. **

To remove jointing mortar from paving, you can start by using a stiff brush to sweep away any loose debris. Then, you can use a chisel and hammer to carefully chip away at the mortar, being careful not to damage the paving stones. Another option is to use a power washer to blast away the mortar, but this method should be used with caution to avoid damaging the paving. Once the majority of the mortar is removed, you can use a solution of water and muriatic acid to dissolve any remaining residue, followed by a thorough rinsing with clean water. **

Concrete paving slabs are laid with jointing sand by first preparing the base with a layer of compacted sand or gravel. The slabs are then laid in the desired pattern, leaving a small gap between each slab for the jointing sand. Once the slabs are in place, the jointing sand is spread over the surface and swept into the gaps, ensuring that the sand fills the joints completely. Finally, the surface is compacted with a plate compactor to settle the slabs and lock the jointing sand in place. This process helps to create a stable and durable surface for the paving slabs. **

For exposed aggregate concrete pavers, a polymeric sand jointing compound is suitable. Polymeric sand is a mixture of fine sand and polymer additives that, when activated with water, creates a strong bond that helps to lock the pavers in place. It also helps to prevent weed growth and insect infestation between the pavers. Additionally, polymeric sand comes in a variety of colors to match the pavers, providing a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing finish. **

Further education courses are typically more expensive than initial training programs because they often require more specialized instructors, resources, and facilities. These courses are usually more in-depth and cover advanced topics, which can increase the cost of providing the education. Additionally, further education courses may also offer certifications or degrees upon completion, which adds to the overall cost. Finally, the smaller class sizes and more personalized instruction in further education courses can also contribute to the higher cost compared to initial training programs. **
